EAA Water Sampling
Twice a year, the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) takes water samples directly from the San Marcos Springs to gather data that speaks for more than just Spring Lake.
The samples are shipped overnight to to San Antonio for the lab to check for alkaline, pharmaceuticals, E. coli, and other contaminants in the water. What they find in the water is indicative of what gets into the lake's recharge zone.
